Anxiously awaiting some more fabric I ordered for making masks. I have made dozens and find it relaxing and have realized how much I miss having a project.

Found some cool retro 60s-70s prints that my granddaughter, niece, and I will love.

If I am able to stop making masks I plan to finally get around to trying my hand at making a quilt, which is something I have always wanted to try but haven't gotten to it yet.

Working part time, mostly from home, is allowing me the time and the energy to spend time on something I had shelved for years.

With the masks appearing in almost every television commercial and having become somewhat of a fashion trend, I am fairly certain most people are aware that we may be a masked society for quite some time yet.

My daughter stopped by on Friday to pick up another dozen masks for her and my granddaughter.  She made the comment that she will now need a mask drawer in her dresser like she has a sock drawer and a bra drawer.  

As for being a fashion trend...I have been trying to find interesting fabrics to make it as fun as it can be to have to wear a mask.  I had an appointment with my cardiologist a month or so ago and made sure to grab a mask that is covered with hearts.  He thought it was funny and commented on how many people are getting imaginative with their masks.

Two computer notifications came up today:
1) Microsoft Office told me I need to update my Password, since it will expire in less than two weeks. However, whenever I try to do so, nothing happens.
2) My version of Windows 10 is nearing end of life and needs to be restarted and updated.

Laptop OS updated without incident (even if it did take three hours or so). Laptop is still not letting me update my password and Dad is telling me to let it lapse. Also, spent a good part of the last couple days trying to figure out how Gibson's Varitone circuit works. Eventually, with the help of a spreadsheet program called GuitarFreak, a calculator, and a lot of time and effort, I figured out the change, EQ-wise, it gives to the original tone (assuming SD Seth Lover pickups and normal Gibson pot values). Things were a bit complicated by the fact that Gibson appears to have used at least three values for the choke on the circuit (1.5, 7.2, and 15)

(Note: ignore the "Row 8, Row 9, &c and just replace them with positions 2-6 because OpenOffice wouldn't let me for some reason; also, they won't be perfect approximations, since the frequency notches might be a bit shallower than the regular circuit, partly because the center frequency falls between the bands [especially on the 15 Henry graphs] and partly due to the inherent limits of the pedals; perhaps it might be most effective if one of each is used)

There's a lot of controvery about whether or not he used it, though; some say he never used it, some say that he only stopped using it in the last 20 years or so of his career, some said he stuck to #2, and I'm seeing it in #3 in the Live in Africa video on what I think may be the same Lucille he used to record the original "The Thrill is Gone".

Okay, just had a couple scares. It looks like we're on the edges of a big storm, and we're not sure whether it's going to do much more than give us a lot of rain and wind. Also, I recently tried to log back onto my laptop and I apparently needed to provide my Microsoft login password to get back in. This might be a belated reaction to my updating the OS last night.

Today was my first day back at work since March. Distance learning is going to be difficult, but I think it's better than sending everyone back to school and risking an outbreak.
