What's everyone up to right now?

For the record, for whatever reason, access to Microsoft Office (at least for me) account hinges on a password that has to be updated every couple months. And for whatever reason, I cannot actually change said password this time around. So, we have a classic Catch-22. Dad's decided that the only solution is to wait for it to expire and try again. Thinking about this, I've decided to try and figure out what advantages Excel has over OpenOffice Calc. I found one thing I can't do in Calc that I like to do in Excel: create a proper table.
With a few clicks (the most difficult of which being selecting the data for the table), I can create a decent-looking table with rows of different colours, and headers you can sort or filter any way you want to (including ascending/descending, relational operators, above or below average). The closest thing I've been able to use in OpenOffice is AutoFilter for headers. Unfortunately, AutoFilter can only use "Top 10" filtering, or the oddly complicated "standard filtering," with sorting not even available as a function of the table (and a maximum of 3 columns can be sorted at any time). Well, I say table, but apparently, tables can only be created in the OO equivalents of Word and Access. And Word tables can't be exported into Excel for whatever reason and in order to make an OO Access file, you have to save the file you haven't even created yet. To be fair, there's also a Create Pivot Table function, but it's virtually unusable. So, I talked about it with Dad and he decided to give me access to his Office account when the password expires.
