Boru

I.E., I've never changed a tire.

You might appreciate a thing or 4 if you, on a cold autumn morning, change the 4 summer tires to 4 winter tires on a car yourself with nothing more than a jack, tire iron, and whatever amount of bolts are necessary to tighten those wheels. That and some greasy, blackened, cold fingers. I love it.

And I dated a ferrier for two years - and helped out a time or 16 - so yeah....

So 2 outta 5.

How are you at troubleshooting a Scorpion Flying Probe? Are you any good at geometric dimensioning and tolerancing?

I think you're missing the point. We aren't all capable at everything. For instance I wish I had paid a plumber to work on my two shower fixtures. I spent easily two weeks doing something that surely would have taken much less time by a professional. I could have just worked some overtime plying the skills I'm excellent at to cover the cost of a professional and it would have been a win-win.

Geometric tolerancing?

Yup

Drill a bigger hole.

You get more.

...

(Actually it's one class I took 4 times. At work where I apprenticed - every summer when we got slow.)

I did mention once or twice that I retiired as a prototype machinist.....

But I didn't work in QC - so I didn't get checked out on the Scorpion....

The reviews of Redemption that I've read have been kinda meh on it. I'm looking at a bottle of Four Roses small batch or single barrel next. Unless I go cheap. In which case it's probably a bottle of Evan Williams.

(Actually, reviewing my notes, I may go with the Laphroaig 10 year. I've never had an Islay.)

Now you've got me going. Total Wine has a house brand Islay that's only $20, but is reputed to be an excellent value. A straightup unremarkable but solid budget Islay. And it's $2 off right now.

Just finished my second quilt. Husband gets the first one...the second one is mine. Three more are in various stages of completion. Those three will be Christmas gifts.

It's just before I head off for a shower, and afterwards into bed. Ik this isn't right now, but whatever.
