working on my atheist meetup group calendar.

Oh. Gawd. Thanks for saying that. I'm the social secretary for mine and I need to set up a couple more Pub Nights, as well as another Pee Wee Golf Game and a sea fishing trip... <scurry!!>
Eyeballing the shrimp, limes and cayenne sitting on my rangetop and wondering should I really wait til my wife is home to cook? Chicks dig frozen hot dogs, I'm sure....

I've been thinking of making one the social coordinator and the other the community service coordinator. We'll be having a picnic/potluck on Saturday and I will be introducing them as my helpers. This is a lot of work!

It makes a huge difference. We have Outreach, Altruism, Social, Open Topic, Book Club, and unofficially, Political. Our group is approaching 300 folks -- an awful lot of them very active! One person just couldn't do it all. Hats off to you, Ivy!! I'm glad you're getting some help.

These folks want an abundance of activities and events and I can't do them all. I love their enthusiasm. They're awesome people. I can't wait to see it grow. We are the pioneers of this in our area, because there are only two other meetup groups here (one is hiking and the other is singles over 30). I would have been happy if I would have found one lonely atheist out there, since this area is full of fundies. I'm so glad a group has formed. I even have to of my members here in AF now! lol

Joined area 69.
Posting about it here and there all around AF. The place is dusty and needs traffic. Shoutbox has more action on a regular basis than what I see happening in there.
