What's everyone up to right now?

Feeling accomplished.  I bought a cabinet to use for various work items such as a second laptop, scanner, paperwork, etc.  I had things scattered on whatever I could find around the house...a little end table that once held an aquarium and a TV tray.  Now it's all together in one place and it rolls around so I can pull it closer to work from it or push it back against the wall when I am done.

Took a bit to get it put together but I managed to do it by myself and only suffered a small blood blister on my finger.  There wasn't even any swearing so I'm a little surprised it got assembled at all.

Swearing intimidates parts into submission. Nothing goes together well without it.

Killing time, waiting for wind gusts to drop below 40mph before I snow blow.

The snow just started here -and we really have not had any real accumulation. I have not even put gas in the snowblower yet..

That's probably going to change. Expecting 4-6 inches snow tonight and another 4 tomorrow....


Ugh...

At this point we start cheering for global warming.

We've got 3 days of snow coming up and 4 nights of sub zero.

Groceries tomorrow AM, then cabin fever.

We took advantage of the crappy weather to go buy another Saturn. A 2002 SL2 (4 door). Red. Manual transmission. Colorado car. Rust free. The only Michigan winter it has been drove in - is this year. It should last the rest of my lifetime - and then some. $900.

This is our 24th Saturn - and the 14th we now have - 10 driveable.

It's a niche hobby.

I showed Dad a keychain I bought from my fortnightly trip to Half Price Books of the Grady girls from The Shining.



He admitted he never watched the film. My immediate response: to go to my Blu-ray collection and hand him my copy.
