Made a lot of headway in the lap steel: screwed in the tuning pegs (and drilled some extra holes because of space issues), redrilled all the holes that needed to be redrilled due to the paint, hammered in the ferrules for the string holes, secured the pickup, and pulled the protective tape off the fingerboard:

Now, all I need to do is secure the Jack, solder the pickup wire, glue and notch the nut and bridge, screw on the fingerboard, and string it up.
