Rejoicing in The Return Of The Cat. Our big tom - Da Booj - rocketed out of the house three days ago while the wife was signing for a package. Showed up just 20 minutes ago, none the worse for wear.

Was busy hitting the snooze button because I was going to have to go to my daughter's to wait for their new new washing machine to be delivered but that's handled now.

I say new new, because the new one that was delivered Thursday leaked.

Deciding if I should go back to sleep or not.

Just got up from a refreshing 2-hour nap during which I charged my Philips Lifeline. I'm going to check on my Monarch caterpillars, then play PC Scrabble for a few hours.

A thoroughly dented car just pulled up in front of my house, which sits close to a fairly busy road.  The passenger opened the door and tossed what looks like some garbage onto my lawn before a cop came speeding up and pulled in front of the car.  Another officer parked behind it subsequently.  Questioning and a car/ garbage search are in progress.

It's like we never left Chicago.
