What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Got my green beans and crisp fried onions. I'll trim them today, blanch them Wednesday, leaving only the bacon and the cheese sauce for Thanksgiving morning.

Surgery delayed til at least late this afternoon. Apparently I'm on the "add-on" list which I gather is that I'm sick enough to not wait to be scheduled but not urgent enough to bump someone pre-scheduled.

Sounds like they're removing a thrombus that's causing my left ventricle to behave abnormally.

Take that as a good sign. Being an urgent case is a lot less scary than being an emergency case.

Woot! Amazon was selling a refurbished version of the air fryer I wanted for $75 off. I wasn't going to have the money until Wednesday unless I returned something. Check on it today, and it's an additional $45 off, and my refund for a $50 order that I canceled arrived, allowing me to pay for it today without returning anything!

Yay! That means that by the end of the month I'll have $150 of the $250 I need to buy my Christmas gift to myself of a couple of bottles of scotch.

WOW! What a beast. Mine has a pyrex (?) container. The element and fan are in the lid. It's Ok for small things such as chicken breasts, chops etc. Maybe a small chicken.  Certainly not a large turkey!

Air fryers work on the same principle as the larger convection ovens. Be most interested to have your opinion after you've cooked some biggish things in it. I'm making an effort to cook more things in the air fryer as it seems a waste of energy to use my full size oven for most things. Thinking of trying a self saucing pudding.

I haven't decided on a Xmas present to myself. Right now it's beginning to look like a new phone or TV, or possibly both. The local Aldi has lobster tails on sale for $30 a kg, two in a pack. We usually start Xmas lunch with prawn (shrimp) cocktails, but this is a pretty good price. Be fascinated to know their origin. Best Aussie crayfish (lobster) is exported. At Xmas time, the smaller export rejects are sold for   from $80 a kg.

I hope they're inserting the catheter in his arm. Far less complicated. Though I'll admit I don't want a catheter anywhere I don't absolutely have to have it.

I'm sure they are doing what's best.

Try to be a good patient and keep up posted.

Yea clot busters! Directly increases effectiveness, reduces systemic risks.

@Fireball Unless something has changed that I'm unaware of it's into the femoral vein, up thru the heart and then into the pulmonary artery(s).
