God only knows how long after arrival it will be functioning.
I'm no longer au fait with Dell, although I've had a Dell Inspiron desk top and a Dell laptop. Good machines. $500 0dd , a laptop?
An Intel processor would be nice.
I'm assuming 8GB of RAM, 500GB to 1TB Hdd, with a basic graphics card.
Screen definition probably 1080p.
Windows 10 or 11
Did I get any right? Just curious. Just about any Dell Laptop for around $500 is pretty good value as I remember.

Ran to the store to buy coffee filters and make a bank deposit. I used part of the gift card that I won in the plasma donation center's raffle. Also picked up a three pound tub of macaroni salad, because I like their macaroni salad best. They had generic 15-bean soup, so I grabbed a bag to try even though I've got several bags of Hurst's 15-bean soup mix. I'll bet I can get a deal on a ham right after Thanksgiving for bean soup. I've got a ton of beans on hand. Looks like that's what I'll be eating in December.

Just put out a few holiday decorations. The Grinch and Max are hanging out in the living room....geez, I got them years ago at a Hallmark store.
Have a Christmas quilt to work on today that I may or may not get finished...could be a project that rolls over to tomorrow.
Realized there's no food in the house besides the apple pie and a slab of cake we got sent home with...placing a grocery order may have to be fit into the schedule today.
I'm your huckleberry.

Chilling at home, went for a walk outside earlier (brrrrrr), waiting for some friends who are coming to visit.

You sure you should be up and about, after having been so recently pulmonarily embolated?

My knowledge of computers is also limited.
Didn't realise it's a tower, but the low price makes more sense.. However looks like a pretty good machine and a good buy. . You might have some issues with Windows 11 as it's a bit buggy.
The old one is 12 years old? Are you keeping the old monitor? You can get a reasonable monitor from around $200.

Yep. Doc's orders are no strenuous work for 4 weeks, otherwise I can do whatever I am comfortable with. The clotting is clear, so says the angiograph.
