Back on the road again. We’ll have put about 2k miles on this rental in a single week. Suckers.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Was a time I would have envied you. My ex and I drove across the Nullabor Plain to Perth and back, twice. I loved it
These days, a full tank (40 litres) lasts me nearly two months.
Thought for the day. A difference between the English and the Australians: The English think 1000 miles is a long way. Australians think 100 years is a long time.
Would you mind sharing about your trip?

Reminds me of the old joke about the Aussie tourist visiting an English country estate. He was amazed at the deep, rich green colour of the lawn and asked the lord of the manor how he got such good results.
'Nothing to it, dear fellow,' said his lordship. 'You start with good, rich soil. Then you select - with an eye to drainage and so on - the proper turf for your particular area, and plant it. Then you mow it for 500 years.'

Unboxing a Lord of the Rings souvenir: Anduril, the sword of King Elessar. This isn't some cheap replica to hang on a wall, but a real sword made by United Cutlery. It's nearly five feet long and weighs several pounds.

Been a decent Black Friday. Got a tri-tip roast on sale + $2 off for being an Amazon Prime member, got a ham for bean soup, got 3 months of Xbox gamepass for $1, and I got Hulu for $1/month for a year.

The amp badge I had made for the Vaux amp managed to arrive. Admittedly, it might be a bit of a challenge (not clearly visible: the plexiglass frame behind the speaker grille, which ends just behind the hole for the speaker) to mount it on there.
Also, I found out that Cult Epics is having a sale. I wondered “should I get Angst or Death Bed: The Bed That Eats?” And then I noticed that the latter was lower priced than the former and decided “You know what? I’ll try both.”

That one might be next. I've also got my eye on Hadhafang.
