What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
I think my bottle of Balcones Baby Blue has turned. Thinking about February. I haven't bought any whisky lately. Maybe a Balcones or the Aberlour A'bunadh.

Drinking. And listening to music.

If you're going intel, all the M2 slots will be shared into 1x pcie x4 bus lane to the cpu. Not a huge problem unless both drives want to read/write at the same time or to each other. Other than that, don't use super fast Samsung m2 drives if using more than 1 M2. Otherwise the latest AMD give you the full pcie x16 for the graphics and an extra pcie x4 for an extra pcie (pcie M2 card) without any speed impediments. Also note, pcie 4 x16 is already dead... Make sure you get pcie 5 x16 if buying new.. I'd wait just quietly. Not the best time to buy unless you have to.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently running two 1 TB SSD in RAID 0 for my games. My main drive is on a PCIE card. If I increased the size of the gaming drive, there could be a bottleneck due to overlapping read requests, if I read you right. Still, since my current two M.2 SSDs are Gen3, it's probably not a big concern. On the other hand, if I replaced those with Gen4, it would be less of a bottleneck. But that x4 limit is intense. I'll have to look more deeply into it.

Picked up my new 3-quart Instant Pot and bread machine today. The Instant Pot is nice and compact. It will reside on the counter for making veggies and side dishes.

Make/model of bread machine please. We've got a starter Hamilton Beach, might need to upgrade.

Getting ahead of the guilt game. I have to take Quinn in for his annual exam and vaccinations in the morning...he's not a good patient like Ziggy is. I know it's what's best but I still hate to spring a vet visit on him...at least this year I can go in with him, it's not curb service like last year. There will be extra snuggles and snacks in his future.

We have one that we premedicate if the visit calls for invasive procedures. If you don't already, ask about trazodone.

Luckily I don't have to go that far but I do get a pack of 3 Previcox because he is pretty wimpy after shots...and it's worse when he's due for rabies, which he is. We'll dose him at the vet before he even gets the shots.

I suppose I could swipe a trazadone from husband but doubt I could cut it down small enough. I had some Previcox here but Ziggy came up lame a month or so ago so he got those for a couple days and that seemed to do the trick.

There are a lot of people in this world not nearly as pampered as the critters in this house are.

We have to drug our Cavalier Spaniel mix before going to the Vet. Trazadone, as well. Even so, she still gets the muzzle. She may have had some shit treatment at the Vet in the past, and I KNOW she did when she went to prison (the pound). We were told she was vicious, and was going to be destroyed. In order to inspect and chip her, they rolled her up in a towel. I'd be pissed, too! My wife took her for a walk to introduce her to our other dog, and things were fine. Paid her bail, took her out of there, and she jumped right in and curled up on the back seat. She absolutely detests anyone in scrubs, and gardeners, and roofers (so far). She may dislike other people, but we haven't met them yet. It has to be some sort of uniform thing. She's smart as a whip, and has done a nice job of training us.  Hehe
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
