Finalizing some shopping carts in anticipation of getting my social security tomorrow. I think I'm already over budget for February. "Oops." (Not really.)
I finally received the watch which was showing as delivered already. And I've got most of my bread making supplies, save vital wheat gluten. I'm doing cornbread first. After some fumbling around I figured out the right setting for it.
Decided on a bottle of scotch that's on sale. Glenallachie Port Wood Finish.

Well what do you know. Those special hood springs I paid a man in the US via paypal a month ago (to be paid at his request "as a friend" - no paypal refunds possible - which I didn't know)) finally turned up today. I had all but written it off as a loss and a learning experience. I'm stoked... Now to try to pry these extra strong springs on is another thing!

Pro tip- now and forever, when you close the hood, push it towards the cowl whilst pulling it down, or you may bend the hood. Don't ask me how I know this, as I only know people who learned it the hard way. Vicarious knowledge is great.

New springs are on... I thought it was going to be a nightmare ... Got the wife to hold the hood up high so I won't have to pull the strap as much... All good but I think she did her back... These hoods are a mile long and apparently too heavy for an old girl...
