I have been away from the site for a while because I was working on writing my third novel in the trilogy. I thought I would check in for a few minutes to let everyone know that I am okay and that the book is coming along better than I had anticipated.

A friend of mine wants to get married in a Catholic Church. She is divorced and the marriage hasn't been annulled and the church is saying she needs to have that process completed before marrying in the Catholic church. (She is Catholic) For those who don't know, the Catholic Church doesn't recognize legal divorce in terms of allowing people to marry in the church.

Religion is so stupid. :/

The Catholic Church is ridiculous. When I was 8, and wanted to be baptised (just because all my friends at school were, and I was feeling left out) my Mum went to our nearest Catholic Church to sort it out, and they refused to do it because my Mum had never been married. Weird shit. So she went to the CofE Church down the road and they were more than happy to do it.

You know, holidays like Lent and Ramadan just remind me of what I don't like about religion. They also make me feel smug and superior for being an atheist. I'm all like, "LOL, suckas."

Learning that my steampunk name would be Professor Adelaide Addle-Dale Usually I get the crappiest concoctions from these games, but I think this one is pretty good.

I especially like that I'm a professor. Yay for being 29!!!!

There is Mardi Gras in New Orleans. There's always a parade and chicks can show their tits to get Mardi Gras beaded necklaces (although in recent years, police have cracked down on that). Additionally, everyone gets drunk because it's New Orleans and that's what you do there.
