What's everyone up to right now?

Having a beer. I've bought 15 lbs. of meat this week. I'm going backwards. I'm supposed to be using what I have on hand. The lamb and salmon, I can see, but 12 lbs. of chicken?

Accomplished more than I figured I would today....that's a plus. Worked a bit (again, on a day off <eyeroll>). Picked up a grocery order and a prescription, filled car up. Got two quilts pinned together and ready for sewing, snuck in a nap in between for about 90 minutes. Daughter stopped by for a brief visit. Now to find something to watch....probably more of the new season of 'Firefly Lane'. It's amazing what you can get done when you wake up at 4:30 am, even when you don't want to and there's no good reason for it.

Been over a week since I first tested positive for COVID. Still testing positive.

Been over a week since I first tested positive for COVID.  Still testing positive.

My wife went on a cruise and came down with Covid 5 days in. She came home Friday and is still testing positive. My youngest brother has nowhere else to go, but he left earlier today and is likely just visiting friends. He also bugged out yesterday. I hope he comes back to sleep in the room we provided for him. He's a cancer survivor with a weakened immune system due to chemo and radiation. I should have pulled our travel trailer out of storage and made the wife quarantine in it. We're all going to get it, what with her wandering all over the house.

I am hoping we can avoid COVID this Christmas. Last year husband came down with it on Christmas Eve. I have had every shot they offer so hopefully I can avoid this round of cooties. But I am seeing a lot of news re: pneumonia. During my physical a couple weeks ago, my doc suggested I get the pneumonia vaccine but I wanted to wait till Thursday or Friday so I had the weekend to recover from any side effects. Then I promptly forgot.

I will take this as my reminder to get that this week.

He's been gone all day, so maybe he's just going to sleep here and bug out during the day. I'm expecting to come down with it, as my wife is sleeping in the same bed as I am, instead of isolating, which is entirely possible.
