Yum, tomatoey and garlicy with onions and bell peppers and fried chunks of bread. I substituted corn tortillas for the bread and added a little dried ground Chipotle peppers for a mexican take on this recipe.

That sounds yummy, but a lot of chopping involved.

Slaving over several hot computers. Had a bit of a scare earlier when I stopped getting a display on my big monitor. Now that things are working again I have to put everything back together.

Printed out many things to do with curriculum revision. People don't realize that teaching is only about 50% actually teaching. The rest is administrivia.

Just finished nailing in some sheet metal to flash off a leak in the roof right at the corner of my garage. The rain was pouring and I could smell something wet- wood. Not a big leak, really just a seep, but there's going to be a roof recovering in my near future.

Trying to get my computers and XBOX moved a step forward. Installed Windows 11 on my old computer. I hate it already.

I'm holding off on Windows 11 as long as I can, cos nothing about it sits right with me, but especially the apparently arbitrary new, and stricter, system requirements for many programs... I just don't want to risk programs that work fine in Windows 10 suddenly ceasing to work in Windows 11 for no good reason so I'm putting off that upgrade for as long as possible.
In case your Windows 11 is an upgrade (where you could roll back to Windows 10 if you wanted) I found an interesting YouTube video that tells you how to set a key in the registry to stop it periodically offering you the upgrade and so far it's working fine; I haven't seen that offer since. If you're interested I could look up that video (or you could)... it basically sets your preferred version of Windows and stops offering upgrades beyond it.

I'm doing a clean install. I'm resuscitating a platform that took a nosedive several months ago, and it's a good time to refresh the base.

Fair enough. Good luck with it then and sorry you lost your previous system, especially out of the blue... never fun when that happens... like it did recently with one of ours as well; no idea why but the hard drive just failed big time and we had to replace it and start again.

Some guy in Florida has a Blu-ray of Stranger Than Paradise with a busted case, and I have several Empty Criterion-sized Blu-ray cases, an STP-sized hole in my Jarmusch-senpai Blu-ray collection, and $8 to spare. You do the math.
