Did a book report on Huckleberry Finn once. Didn't finish reading the book, so the end of the report stated something to the effect that if you wanted to know the ending you'd have to read it yourself. At the time, I was too busy reading Jurassic Park.

I did a lot of book reports on books that I hadn't read. I can probably count the times I actually read the book on one hand.

I have been trying to get back to work, HR won't allow it until they receive an authorization from my doctor. Well, that was sent by fax on Monday. And Tuesday. And again today. It's in HR's court now and they're in no hurry. Considering my short term disability claim was closed for me to return Monday, and I'm not getting my salary, I'm a little salty about it.

One of the best moments of my misspent youth was getting accused of plagiarism, on a book report and "proving" I was innocent by showing the teacher the summary on the back cover of the paperback. The very different summary from the one on the inside of the hardback cover's dust jacket.
Got an A and an apology.

I once told a teacher that she is unqualified to judge whether I plagiarized because she got where I plagiarized from wrong. she neither apologized nor gave me an A, but stopped making a fuss about that instance of plagiarism.
