Doing some cleaning of some items I got recently on FB and FB Marketplace. Early last week I got a high dollar ironing board to replace my cheap one. It had been stored in a garage and needed to be cleaned...very nice now and looking for similar on Amazon shows that new it would have cost about 170 USD. Free is so much better and I can offer my little cheap one to someone else.

Our sofa and recliner were wearing out, we have had them for years. The other day a lady offered the same set for $500.00...then she went down to $400.00. I called her and she offered to sell hers to me for $325.00. So last night we picked them up and they are like new. When we purchased ours new I think the price was about 2K. So we have new to us furniture that we knew would fit the space and that we knew we liked. Husband is going to put the old recliner in the bedroom so when he watches TV up there he has a choice other than the bed to sit on.

Watching baseball. I could have watched in person today, but it's rather chilly out and the beer at home is free.

Some of the highlights of the day:

• Went to the American Science and Surplus warehouse sale. The most interesting thing I got was probably an all-black fidget cube. 
  
• Found out that an old librarian from high school (who jumped ship to my local library) has started an interesting side gig. Sadly, among the tiny clay books she's made, Catcher in the Rye is not one of them.
  
• Pickings were slim at Half-Price Books, but I found a Bloomsbury Classic of Bright Lights, Big City online. Ordered it, but it might take a while, what with the shop being in the UK.
  
• Upon finding out that the last Plague vaccine booster is going to stop being free soon, I scheduled a jab for Monday at 2:50 at Village Hall. I'm preparing myself, and I even found the same t-shirt I wore for the previous three jabs.

On my way home from the ballgame. The relievers nearly gave up a seven run lead.

Train doesn't leave for 10 minutes.

Twas a good day. Spoke with one of my aunts this morning and also to a cousin I haven't talked to in years. Then this afternoon got a call from a girl I was in basic training with about a hundred years ago. We talked for over two hours. It was great.

Now to decide if I want to find something to watch or if I want to start a new book.

Got my last COVID jab less than an hour ago.
