Trying to will myself into feeling a bit more human. The medication the doctor gave me knocks me out and leaves me fuzzy-headed. I had hoped not to need any today but that didn't work out as planned. Slept a lot this weekend. I have stuff that needs to be done around the house but haven't had the energy or motivation to do much of anything. BLAH! I hate being sick.

Years ago I had a sore throat that felt like I had a lump of burning coal in it. The doctor prescribed Cheracol, which has codeine in it. That crap takes more IQ points than I want to surrender, when I'm taking it. I argued for something else, but no dice. No telling what else there was, I guess. I had a sore throat like that last year, but I made do with an H2O2 wash and a ton of Ricola. Gargled hot coffee, too. If a temperature kills the bugs, they got zorched big time with the coffee.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

What I am taking has hydrocodone in it.  I have never had an issue with it even though this is the stronger dosage than is usually given.  I took a boatload of opiates when I was recovering from my breast surgeries.  But this has a very strong antihistamine in it also.  That's what is kicking my butt.  I have always had trouble with antihistamines and haven't taken any since my heart attack so I think it's hitting me particularly hard.  Right now, I am sweating like crazy so I hope that's a sign that fever is burning off some of what ails me.  Or it could just be five days of antihistamines causing havoc with my system.

I have some strange reactions to meds.

If it has diphenhydramine in it, I totally get it. That stuff kicks my ass. :crawling off to bed emoji:

Antihistamines typically make you stop sweating (anticholinergic side effect). The sweating may start when taking the narcotic or stopping the narcotic/antihistamine,............ or for other non related reasons.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

After watching the Vile Eye's latest Tier List update, I decided to just label his final (for now) list just because I could.

Click, click again, and when you can't get any bigger by clicking, open it in a new tab.

Note: if the icons look like crap, that's only because that's what they looked like once I took the screenshot of the video and upscaled it so I could actually legibly label everyone. Also, the colours were chosen strictly out of convenience. (Like, if green text got too illegible, I switched to red, and vice versa, at least until I reached a situation where I had to go to blue.)

A mated pair of great kiskadees has decided to build a nest in the corner of the space between the glass and the exterior security bars of our master bedroom window. While they were out gathering straw (and raiding chives out of our herb garden) I put a wireless camera inside the window facing into the nest. I'm hoping to spot some eggs in the coming days, the nest seems almost complete.

Budgeting. I figure if I don't buy any unnecessary junk of any consequence this next month, I'll be close to where I can buy my new computer speakers in June or July. I'm still debating which ones to get. There's a bare-bones pair with good sound for $130, or a pair with excellent sound for $70 more. Given that it's a long-term purchase, I'll probably lean toward the latter.
