Stopped by Target on the way home to pick up a gift for myself ($100 of Rao's pasta sauce) and to look at turkeys. They had a couple under 15 pounds in the $0.99/lb ones, but most of them were pretty good size. I think I may just do breasts again. I can pick a couple up after Thanksgiving and stick them in the freezer until I feel like cooking. Maybe I'll grab a sliced ham in the meantime. Use half for bean soup and make sandwiches out of the rest.

Picked up bourbon sweet potato ravioli at Aldi's. They also had turkey cranberry ravioli, but that didn't appeal to me. Now that I'm home, the idea is starting to grow on me.

Isn't that just a clever name for small chickens?

Arguing with the dogs - especially the little crazy one. They want to go outside because there is a squirrel on the trunk of the tree that's right off the porch. It's raining. I am not in the mood for dealing with wet dogs and muddy pawprints just because there's a critter out there that they won't catch anyway.

Apparently a rabies ouitbreak wasn't enough, now we've have a TB exposure. Over 500 people exposed between May and October at a daycare.

Cub Foods has Rao's pasta sauces and their store brand on sale, so I'll pick up more pasta sauce tomorrow. Cub's generic sauce is quite good, and it's only a buck a jar on sale right now. I only like certain flavors, but I can't resist the price. I was at Target last night and they had turkey breasts for $1.49/lb. The Target store at Midway wanted $1.99/lb. I'll wait until I get my food stamps on Monday, but I found the price difference a bit odd. Still considering making a whole turkey. I'm not going to worry about it until closer to Thanksgiving.
