Just spent about an entire half hour putting out a few Christmas decorations. Mostly stuff on the mantle. The Grinch I have had for years has made his annual appearance. Even put a little tree I made for my not-working-from-home office into my WFH office. Other than getting out the Christmas quilts, I think that's it.

Did a pink noise test on my Vox MV50 half-stack. Continuous SPL at maximum volume and gain: 107.1 dB/1 meter. Speaker Sensitivity: 93.1 dB. Not quite as loud as previously measured (from volume peaks of my own guitar playing), but still loud enough that Dad had to ask "What the Hell is that noise? Did you hear that? What the Hell are you doing down there to make those noises?" Maybe not as loud as I previously measured, but it's still a sign that an amp that weighs a bit less than 10 pounds and doesn't even come up to my knees is still plenty loud.

And if that's still not loud enough to gig with, either add a second cab to the half-stack or get a venue that isn't going to skimp on the sound reinforcement.

We stopped putting up a tree a long time ago.  My old dog Chopper would have thought it was the best present ever - a tree to pee on in the house!  And I have had cats who were better at undecorating a tree than I was at decorating one.

Once the kids had kids who wanted their own Christmas morning with Santa and a big tree, I started cutting back.  At this rate, next year I might just put a candy cane on the mantle and call it good.

Watching three John Wick movies in two days. Four is in queue. Have to wait for Five.

Still have not seen the first one, and will not unless Netflix ever decides to incorporate the films.

Good news, Kit, the first three movies just got added to Tubi. No need to pay, no need to create an account, you can just watch the first three films for free now. Chapter 4 is currently Starz and Physical Media-exclusive for now, though. The closest thing to any long-term buy-in that's involved is, if you're on mobile, they might pester you to download the app.

Been a busy day already...think it's time for a break.

Picked up and put groceries away. Did some more sewing. Shaved a mountain of fur off of Ziggy. Cleaned a pan that has been stored for ages that I am going to use to make Chex mix later.

Husband had vacuumed again today - twice! I will be so glad when he goes back to work on Monday. I am over all this vacuuming and watching shows that border on conspiracy theories, shows about cars, and generally messing up my schedule.

And he keeps thinking that he needs to be fed. When he's at work he is able to find food at various restaurants in town. He's off work and thinks I have morphed into a short order cook.
