Kicking myself.  I bought a TV antenna earlier this year.  It includes rods that are designed to bring in a specific range of channels.  Only one local channel was in that range and it seemed fine, so I didn't install them.  Watching that channel tonight makes me think I need those ears on the antenna.  But after six months, I had no clue where I put them.  It took some searching, but I found them.  Yay!

I don't know yet. I ordered a gadget that allows me to measure signal strength. I have to go pick it up. I'll wait to install the ears until I can use it to see the signal strength with or without ears. And I may order the next model up of this antenna after I experiment a bit. And I've got a new tuner box arriving tomorrow. About a week back the one I've got now was crashing several times a day. Looking online, the one I've got was released in 2014. The new box should be at least a minor improvement, and it has four tuners to the two tuners that I currently have.

Putting on a pot of chili to simmer. I basically filled my 7-quart Dutch oven to the brim. Two-and-a-half pounds of stew meat, four onions, two green peppers, two cans stewed tomatoes, two cans chili beans, and four jalapenos.

My new tuner box came a day early. The picture looks good. It can do 4k but I think the OTA channels are only 1080p. Maybe not. It's smaller than my old tuner box.

Ooh, nice. I had read that there weren't any ATSC 3.0 stations in my area, but Antennaweb.org says my national networks -- ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX -- are ATSC 3.0. Only two of the four tuners are ATSC 3.0, but it's a nice bonus.

Woot! Woot! I found the keys to my bicycle locks! I found the spare set easily enough, but the primary set was hanging on the rack by the door, covered by several baseball caps.

Trying to get work done since I am off from tomorrow through Christmas...then the year-end drudgery kicks into high gear.

Had a holiday breakfast gathering at work. It was nice. Got a fleece jacket with the company logo and a cash bonus as well as a stash of cookies.

Will be checking in with real basic work stuff even on my days off but mostly plan to enjoy the time with the pups...and I suppose I should wrap the few gifts that aren't wrapping themselves.

Collecting a selection of Silver Sneakers exercise videos from Youtube. I just installed MediaMonkey yesterday for audiobook management and discovered that it also handles video.

So now all my exercise videos are all in one playlist so that I don't need to go hunting for individual ones when the time arises.
