I’ve got an appointment to have blood work on the 20th. The doctor’s office is less than a mile away and my appointment is at 8:00 am.

I've got a doctor's appointment on the 20th as well, but in the afternoon. I set up the appointment primarily to establish a relationship with a new doctor, given my current doctor is retiring, but it's a good time to get bloodwork, covid vaccine, and a flu shot.

It's about a 30 minute drive to my doctor's office. Both the cardiologist and my regular doc are in the same building. 8 am would be as bad for me due to all the people heading into Dallas to work.
Since I am no longer on the Dallas commute hamster wheel, I don't mind the occasional trip over to Richardson.

Decided to try the Footlong Pretzel from Subway.
I love Subway, I love pretzels, but I did not really care for this one. Maybe it's the fact that the consistency changed during my walk from the Subway to my home, but it was strangely tough for a soft pretzel, especially one that's supposedly based on Auntie Anne's. Worse still, it's paired with this honey mustard dipping sauce. I specifically told the man there that I did not want the sauce, but when I ate it I could still taste it. I could even taste it hours after I had eaten it.

At my age and with my history I almost feel guilty. Dr/hospital is 5 minutes away, only being treated for HTN, only need to see him twice a year and one time is for a lung ct scan (smoking history). Having said this I probably jinxed myself.

My head is hurting. I think I need some Ibuprofen.

I used to have a doctor just a couple miles from our house but a few years ago she seemed to lose her damn mind and I got fed up and quit seeing her (after about a dozen years). She ended up quitting the practice completely so I think what I was seeing in her was a big shift all around. Last I heard, she's now a Medicare doc in a nearby 'burb.

What's a Medicare doc, geriatrics or only Medicare patients?

Only Medicare patients at some clinic. Probably also means geriatric.
My last straw moment with her was when she wanted to look in my ears but wouldn't give me a moment to remove my hearing aids. I still have no idea what she was looking for/at.

Oof, probably time for her to switch, maybe chiropractor, something in the CAM milieu.
