Getting motivated to clean out the closet under the stairs. We never put up a Christmas tree anymore and haven't in years. I am going to get the tree out and lights, decorations, gift boxes, etc. and offer them on Facebook to someone starting over. I've seen a few posts lately from people asking for same.

While in there, I will also collect old blankets and comforters that I will donate to the shelter where I got my mean ole cat eleven years ago. I have made enough quilts that we don't need all those blankets anymore.

Now if I can find someone who wants all the Trivial Pursuit games I collected since they became a thing...I have the original, some collector sets, and everything in between.

Okay - already have some interest for the Christmas stuff...I kept the things I have made over the years and the things that the kids made.

Also found a bag of parrot toys that are too large for the little guy we still have...offering them too. I used to switch them out now and then but I guess I forgot about this batch.

Have the whole back of my car filled with blankets, towels, cat toys that don't interest Blue to take to the shelter tomorrow to see what they might be able to use.

Preparing a batch of chicken and rice. I realized something. I was tossing the oil that I browned the chicken in, but I think in doing so, I was throwing a great deal of good flavor. So I kept the oil instead of replacing it with ghee. And I've discovered that I love Herbes de Provence. I picked up a huge tub of the stuff. This stuff has so many uses. I can't believe I didn't know about this stuff.

Ordered a new ice maker. I'd had my eye on one through Wamart that occasionally went on sale for $150. Today I noticed it had dropped to $120. The warranty sucked, so add $14 for a warranty, but still good.

My current ice maker still mostly works, but it's getting to where it requires frequent attention. I'll set it aside in case the new one is worse, but I hope that doesn't happen.

Well that was exciting. I got the drawer for baking sheets underneath the oven stuck halfway in, halfway out. I thought I was hosed.
