I've been smelling that turkey bake for hours.

Just polished off a turkey drumstick and half a yam, and half a dozen black olives (which I am not allergic to- green olives another story). Passed on the cranberry sauce, dressing and pumpkin pie. I'll have some pumpkin pie at lunch tomorrow.

Have been up and at it for about three hours. The bird seems to be well thawed now after a bath that started early. Two big dishes of mac n cheese are in the fridge ready to be baked later. Other implements of cooking are out and ready to go. Cleaning continues as well as laundry.

Need to jump in the shower as I am going to run to the store for a couple things that I always forget.

And the real work hasn't even started yet...not sure why this is considered a holiday...smh.

I have small bags for everyone with silly little gifts and candy in them...just for the heck of it.

Surfacing from a food coma. Lots of good food and plenty of leftovers for all for the weekend. The Bail was waxing nostalgic about having a holiday here again. Her boyfriend ate more food than I would have thought possible. He enjoyed being with our nutty family. Tired...but the kitchen is cleaned up and I am ready to relax.

Got a new kalimba, tuned it to C (A Minor). 



Also decided to make a “family portrait” of my kalimbas. Or at least the ones I’d consider using in performance.

Drinking coffee before the game after a nightlong headache. Thankfully it gave up the ghost at about 9 this morning.

Been a busy morning. Have all the Christmas gifts except for the one that isn't finished yet. Put out a few decorations including the Christmas quilts - added a Grinch one this year. Did some laundry-which is something that is NEVER done. Eating more leftovers so I can take my vitamins. Then I think a nap is in order as husband will be watching football.
