Reboxing the fan that I'm returning. I thought it would be difficult because it was difficult to remove from the box, but that was because the person who initially returned it didn't repackage it correctly.
It's freezing out, but this return needs to go back via UPS, so it will require a separate trip anyway. I think I'll bundle up and go later.

Average daily practice/play time has grown to around an hour and a half, with some sessions running nearly three hours. Some days, I have to force myself to stop!
Since Halloween, when I got my first guitar, I've added 7 others (Xmas and b-day were very good to me, but I had to name them all to keep them straight ), and I've gone from not knowing how to finger a guitar chord to playing rhythm on a song book of nearly 80 titles, and am now starting to learn riffs and other aspects of lead.
It's been a hell of a ride so far, and a huge help maintaining my sanity that I have something I can do that absolutely drives out all the negativity of recent weeks.
Next weekend I should be able to start my rebuild of my donor guitar. I've got all the replacement parts except for the coil splitting switches, so be expecting some photos of that.

I recently found out that, apparently, the SSA has been auditing my bank account and it looks like the big obstacle to actually getting SSI at this point is the fact that I had to send a lot of money to another account once it became clear that we needed to limit that (because it turns out that we haven’t updated the disability asset limits since before I was born.)
Dad was able to come up with an explanation that didn’t say something like, “because, according to the law, it turns out that you cannot be both too disabled to work AND thrifty.” Or, for that matter, disabled with savings left over from the time you sold grandma’s old house.

Debating if I should color my hair again or let it go natural. I'm a natural brunette and at nearly 68 years old there are some grays showing up...for my age, not many but still...decisions, decisions.
