Next weekend I should be able to start my rebuild of my donor guitar. I've got all the replacement parts except for the coil splitting switches, so be expecting some photos of that.

Took longer than I thought to get started, but the tear-down has begun. Last weekend I broke the donor guitar down completely. Started the rebuild, but will have to do some minor modifications to the body for some of the new parts to fit, and was sharply reminded that I needed some kind of shielding for the electronics cavities since these bare bones budget guitars never do any shielding. That came in Monday morning and I'm hoping to have time this weekend to further the rebuild. I'm really stoked to see how it looks and how well it plays once I've finished.

On another note, I re-strung my acoustic with lighter strings and, against local advice, lowered the saddle. I am amazed at how much easier it is to play and, just as importantly, how much better it sounds. I may lower the saddle a bit more since the action is still high, even for an acoustic, and with the neck nearly dead flat, there's not much adjustment I can make with the truss rod.

I had one when I was first going through all the tests for breast cancer.  Bang, clang, whirr, clank, bang, clang, whirr, clank.  And they aren't the smoothest ride, IIRC.

The notes on my abdominal scan came back. Anechoic renal cysts, which are generally benign according to Google AI. Nothing remarkable otherwise. Well that was fun.
