I opened a can of chili & franks from Walmart, only to discover a 3" sliver of wood in the can. No problem, I thought, they usually just refund it and let you keep the item, as lovely as that would be in this instance. No, they wanted me to return the item. So I've spent 10 minutes on chat getting that fixed. I've rarely had any quality issues with stuff from Walmart, but this week has been different. I ordered a jar of pickled cherry peppers and it arrived with the lid severely abused, seal broken, and fluid already gone. I was going to have them pick that up this morning, but I decided to do that another day, seeing as I was up late fretting on X.

I have taken in another lovely lady:
A Guild Surfliner in Canyon Dusk finish. Reverb.com for the win. With only minor blemishes, I acquired my latest love for just a bit more than half the suggested retail of $500 and less than half of the $600 I usually see them listed for.
I don't care what anyone says. There's no such thing as too many guitars!

Reading about Peter Navarro, who appears the likely architect of Trump's trade policy.

Wife wanted a companion for the Chihuahua we got some months ago. It was traumatized- put in a sack with 4 other dogs and dumped at the pound. They were discovered when the workers reported in. She had 4(?) puppies a couple of hours after being dumped. It took her awhile to get used to this place, and she will lick the back of my hand (and those of my two sons), but any other motion sends her running. The new puppy- 2-1/2 months old- fell asleep in my lap at the adoption facility. It's hopefully going to put the first dog more at ease with the "scary male creatures" in this household.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
