Her second child is due in January and they just learned that Baby Boy will be born with a heart defect and will require surgery anywhere from one week to six month after birth, depending. Her doctors are highly confident that the defect is a minor one, easily correctable, and the little man should have no long-term effects. I can see that that is pretty unnerving. Hoping for expert medical help!
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

She’s having the baby and the baby’s having the surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital - best in the UK and one of the best in the world. Boru

It's hard for me to let go of anything. It reminded me of a time in high school when, as always, I was frustrated by the clutter and my mom's hoarding, and thought it would be okay if I just threw out stuff that was obviously broken and useless. So I hauled out a trash can worth of stuff. At two A.M. that night, I found my mom hauling everything that I'd thrown out back inside. Worthless shit like broken tennis rackets and things with missing pieces. I had a lot of anger about her behaviors at the time. You'd think with all that anger, I'd grow up to be different. In some superficial ways, I am. But while nobody was looking, I absorbed all her values, attitudes about saving money, and loss, and all the things that drove her behavior. In many ways, I'm just like her. (Bold mine) STOP COPYING ME!! Boru

I'm having trouble getting the tea-making pod on my coffee maker to work properly. That's the main reason I bought this model. I'll try some more before returning it.

Washing dishes so that I'll have room to cook later. My new 10.5" cast-iron skillet from Walmart arrived, but I haven't unboxed it yet. I bought it primarily because it was cheap at $10. But also because my experience with carbon steel has renewed my interest in cast-iron. I still don't like the awkwardness and weight of 12" plain or enameled, but a 10" sounds more manageable.
I'm expecting to have some meds delivered tonight, but I have no clue when that's going to happen. Hopefully not while I'm preparing dinner. I have to be at the hospital at 8:30 A.M. on Wednesday, so I don't want to stay up tonight. ![]()

Several medical tests today. No caffeine before a heart stress test I just finished the MRI, and have an hour plus wait before the stress test.
