Unboxing the new vacuum sealer I just bought. It's surprisingly powerful for such a small and inexpensive model.

I need to get off my butt and upgrade the insides of my desktop PC. Storage prices are going through the roof and shortages are expected in 2026. I need two large drives, so once I figure out the insides of my desktop, I can order the new disks. Refurbished 8 TB disks are $150, but if I'm only buying two, I can get a pair of 14 TB for only $200 each. I prefer to buy eight's because that's what I've standardized on, but if it's a separate deal, it would be okay.

Unboxing my new K-Cup coffee maker. I bought a box of Black Rifle Company's Beyond Black pods. It's not as good as from ground coffee. Yesterday I picked up a Mr. Coffee programmable 5-cup coffee maker from Target. I rarely drink more than two 14-ounce cups of a morning anymore, this will take up less counter space than my 12-cup Ninja, and it will be handy for heating water for tea of an afternoon. I'm waiting until after Thanksgiving to open it, in case there's a better deal this week. It was only $3 off their usual price this week. They did have the non-programmable Mr. Coffee at a steep discount, but I figured that I'd better get one that shuts itself off after two hours.

I picked up the Disney+ / Hulu bundle for $5 / month for a year. There's a K-drama on there that I've been wanting to watch for some time. I'll probably buy the DVD set, but for now I can stream it. And Bae Suzy has a K-drama on Disney+ in 2026.

True story: When my parents married in 1950, my grandparents (mum's side) gave them a brand-new English Electric refrigerator for a wedding gift. They finally got rid of it in 2007. Not because it didn't work - they gave it to one of my brothers who needed a fridge.
