What's everyone up to right now?

I’m planning my cooking and shopping for the week. I’ve got a ton of veggies on the verge of going bad. Maybe I’ll pull those chicken bones I’ve got saved in the freezer and make a stock? While I’m at that might as well make red sauce for that chicken parm I’ve been craving…and buy a fuck ton of chicken breasts (since I’ve got none in the freezer). I’ll make some chicken cutlets that can be used for that parm…oh and chicken piccata…that’ll be good too…that’s like 4 meals all chicken, plus lunches, guess it’ll be a chicken week. 

That’s going to be my week I guess.

Assembling a computer motherboard test frame. My skills are rusty.

Doing some gaming. Watching some football on TV. I had some second thoughts about my decision to build a new computer earlier, but I'm feeling more confident tonight.

Watching football and futzing with a new external hard disk case. It didn't seem to work when I first assembled it, so I disassembled it and reassembled it in piecewise fashion. It's working now.

Just got back from Walmart.

Computer crap. Installed the new motherboard in the new test frame. Swapped in the NAS test bed and fired it up. The disk adapter (HBA) is unfamiliar to me. Most of these are sold with reflashed firmware. I'm not sure whether this one was or not, so I'm going to reflash it myself. New wireless mouse seems to work, but it sleeps after 7 minutes of inactivity, which may be a problem.

Learned how to boot and mount a file system in a UEFI shell. This is a prerequisite to reflashing the firmware of a controller. It took all afternoon, but the hard part is over.
