I'm at work. It's dead here. Still got nearly 5 hours to go.... *yawn*

That said, there was a bit of entertainment from a bloke who overreacted to being told that a return to Smethwick Galton Bridge is £27.50. Apparently that's "extortionate!" in his opinion. Super cheap in mine.

Smethwick? I only live down the road from there. Ok, it's a long road and there's a lot of them, but ten minutes on the bus into Oldbury and then another thirty to forty into Walsall (traffic permitting) and I'm on my home turf.

RE: What's everyone up to right now?

This is not my day. I glanced at the meetup page last night and the new homepage has your next meeting highlighted in the banner. I glance at it, notice the 10 am start time, grab the directions and head to bed, as it was already midnight, and I'd need to be up at eight. Three hours later, I'm lying in bed, wide awake, knowing I'm not anywhere close to falling asleep, so I start masturbating to pass the time. The next thing I know, I look over at the clock and it's seven o'clock and I have to be up in an hour and I haven't slept. An hour later, I'm tired, feeling nauseous and headachey, and my stomach hurts, but I'm still wide awake, so I figured what the hell. So I shower and hop on a bus and 30 minutes later I'm there. I step out of the bus, blinking in the morning sun, to be greeted by a gas station with the curious name of "pump n' munch." Suddenly I'm having flashbacks of prom night in high school and Doug "the monster" Johnson who desperately wanted to ride the ride but didn't have the price of admission. I was feeling surprisingly similar that night. I'd been up all the night before with cramps and was feeling rather sick. And there was Doug, with this plastic smile frozen on his face. I so wanted to lean over and crush his balls. Things actually ended okay and Doug ended the night with a much more agreeable smile on his face. And my mood improved. Twenty minutes of throwing up in the can, a few gulps of vodka and a half a joint later, and if I wasn't exactly feeling "better," I was at least feeling "less worse." (Though I was sure I was going to throw up on him when I went down on him. Fortunately, I didn't.) Anyway, to get back to my story, flashback over, I approach the school where the meeting is supposed to be at. I notice a sandwich board standing outside, advertising jacobs-well.com ("welcome!"). So my spidey-sense starts tingling, because my knowledge of that biblical story is hazy, but sufficient to clue me in to what is coming. I enter the school and am immediately greeted by an auditorium, a man and a woman center stage, amplified, and singing some whiny Christian shit. I realize that there's something more amiss than the rolling in my stomach and the pounding in my head. So after a brief circuit of the building, vainly hoping to find another auditorium, I stop and ask a couple of shiny young men if they know anything about a meeting of the Minnesota Humanists. One of them makes a joke about maybe their church is it. I laugh weakly and smile. (That's another parallel. I wanted to crush his balls, too.) Anyway, long story short, the meeting is not this day. Meetup lists your next event up top whether it's the next day or the next month. Silly moi.

Oh well. I'm at Dunn Bros., enjoying a coffee and a cold milk with hazelnut. And I no longer feel like throwing up.

And would you say £27.50 is expensive for a an open return from London to there?

Today is a pondering-my-place-on-this-earth day. I need to get out and do something; I more than likely won't be living on SSI forever. I may volunteer somewhere soon.

Also realized, two years ago I was in college. And it's been about that long since I've been in a relationship. Not sure I'm made for those, but it would be legit to have a nice boy to love. Oh wellz.

I would say that's remarkably cheap for a return ticket between London and Galton Bridge. I would further say that this bloke you mention is either an idiot or a twat, or both.

New speakers set up. I accidentally punched a button I didn't mean to push, so there's some electronic crap in the way that I need to clear, but all the same, they sound considerably better than the Polks that they're replacing, and they spoon with the Klipsch subwoofer much better.
