I actually have heard both words, chickpeas and garbanzo beans. I just never knew what they were. They look gross. Like brown hominy.

Not a fan of raw bell peppers unfortunately, but carrot sticks on the other hand are great!

If you like hummus, you should give the beans themselves a chance. They are one of the few beans that can be eaten cold or hot, IMO. That and edamame.

Hominy is corn though. Oddly processed corn.

Grab a can of garbanzo beans next time you're at the store. They're relatively cheap so if you don't like it, it's not that much of a waste. Smile

As it happens, I'll be making hummus tonight. I bought my chickpeas and sesame paste yesterday. With raw vegetables, there's nothing better!
