It's actually before noon. And I'm here. Here being on campus. I'm going to avoid AF for at least a few hours and see how much I can get done.
Have a lovely day, afternoon, night, morning guys. Wherever you are.

Such a bad influence!
I love finally printing chapters. Even if they're not completely done. It's finally looking like an actual dissertation rather than a bunch of random thoughts and ideas.

Starting to organise a concert for the university's Wind Orchestra with a local band. Now to work out how to transport a couple van loads of equipment with no money to spare

That being said, I have not once sought HOA approval for any home/property improvement I've done so far.
It's rather too late to just do the planting now, seeing as how I've already brought the subject to everyone's attention and the corner my place is on a very, very public corner (hence the whole fuckin' reason I want to plant something that will block everyone's view into my house...)
My current plan of action is, since my request has been unofficially rejected, to create some presentation drawings and renderings of what I want to do, to take it to the HOA board meeting and blow them away with my perfectly reasonable request.
If it's still rejected, I'm going to buy the plants anyway and keep them in pots lined around where I wanted to plant them, cultivate them in pots for a couple years and then, OOPS!! It looks like some unknown garden fairy came and planted them one night! Imagine that!
For all future improvements beyond these plantings, I've learned my lesson: Beg forgiveness AFTER I've done what I want to do.
Seriously, if you want people to follow your rules, don't make be such assholes about reasonable requests.
I hate HOAs.

I haven't made any pyramids, but I did have a hummingbird feeder made from a beer bottle. I even steamed off the lable and reapplied it upside down (so it would be right side up when the feeder was hung neck down). I need to make a new one of those. This time with a clear coating over the lable so it won't wear off so fast.
I fuck with the HOA at every opportunity.
