I think my dad thinks this is amusing and will try hard to make it happen and my mom thinks I need a boyfriend and so will encourage the meeting. And since Starbucks in the morning is a reasonably regular thing I cant avoid it indefinitely.

I don't think aversion and anxiety are supposed to be a part of it.
When I dated my wife, I wasn't applying for a position in her personal corporation, I wasn't pushing to control her or change her, I was meeting a best friend. It so happened that we eventually humped like rabbits but the was not the conscious aim of the friendship.

I'm flattered, but even as attractive as you are (and you are) I'd still be really uncomfortable if I didn't know you. I take a very specific approach. I was friends with my last boyfriend before we started dating and even he had to seriously slow play it. (I've got issues) :p

I was fortunate to live in the university setting for many years so I grew accustom to women of intelligence and ambition.
