If I could have done the surgery he needed instead of depending on an idiotic, unreliable vet, I would have.

Sorry about the vet. Not all are properly qualified... some made out of vet school... just barely. And the public has no way of knowing about it until it's too late.

On our zoo, here in Lisbon, we have a pet cemetery. It's full of dogs and a few cats, each with his own tiny tombstone. Maybe you have something like that around your place, too. That way, you'll have something to remind you of him.

He's buried next to his brother who was hit by a car 7 years ago. 

I'm going to be ordering a tombstone for him later today.
