Just got back from taking cup cakes to the fire house near where I grew up. My son and I bring them baked goods and express our gratitude for everything they do every September 11.

Yes, but I was deeply affected by What happened on September 11th and decided I wanted to start a tradition of showing my gratitude to emergency workers for what they do every day. I thought 9/11 was appropriate.
Fire apparatus throughout our country sometimes bear some reference to 9-11. "Never Forget", or some other words in relation to the event. 9-11 is still huge on the minds of some.
