My daughter is yelling at me non-stop about things I don't care about.
I am Mr Grumpy.

Getting old?

Watching "A Beautiful Mind" - perhaps the only good movie Russell Crowe has made to date - and waiting for my bread to bake.

An older friend of ours moved here from Manhattan when he retired from NYU where he was a professor of mathematics.  Apparently he was a contemporary of the subject of that movie and in the same class at Princeton.  His wife is a weaver like my wife and that is the reason I know them.  She said when they watched the movie Martin just kept protesting that it was nothing like that.  (Hey, it's a movie.)

He is in his 80's but dances at Ashanaz regularly, plays music, looks like an older Jerry Garcia and still travels all over speaking on logic for computers.  He has written a book for lay people called The Universal Computer: The Road from Leibniz to Turing but is better known for Computability, Complexity and Languages.

He hates philosophy.   Dodgy

First I've heard of it. I just read a synopsis - these days, it's probably not the kind of film I would enjoy due to the violence.

I dunno, Gladiator was entertaining enough back in the day, I just had a hard time buying Aussie-accented Crowe as Roman, well, anything. Rome's empire was vast, but not that vast. Big Grin
