Currently at Ravinia, watching Smokey Robinson performing a concert. At this moment, he's singing "My Girl." I'm at a lawn seat, so I can't see a lot of him, but I have a good view of the screen. One thing's for damn sure: we should all be as vibrant as Smokey is when we're 77.

And a (((hug))) from me too, CM.

Spent some time manoeuvring electrical conduit into place (going to be adding 3 new circuits to the northwest quadrant of the house and moving some network wiring).

Currently debating the merits of going out to grab something to eat, but probably will stay put. It's cold and it's raining, and most of the non-chain fast food places are closed for the night now.

Making mini quiches with my mom. Some of them are successful. Ironically, the ones following Julia Childs' recipe were leaking disasters.

Waiting for the next batch to bake so we're watching Jaws.

Duty weekend and a slate of ships that has kept me up since 4 a.m. Friday. Onboard my last one for now and waiting for a surveyor to finish his calculations. With luck, I will be dead to the world in about three hours.

Band practice this morning, and spent the afternoon shopping and doing some more of the prep work for the wiring project. It's a semi-leisurely race against the clock -- all the circuits have to be in before I can re-insulate these rooms, and that insulation has to be in before it gets ridiculously cold. Giving myself a month to get it all sorted and done.
