I just totaled up how much my treatment has cost so far.
$107,020 in just over two months.
My chemo alone costs about $25k a pop and I've only had two of the six rounds. The rest of my chemo will cost another $100k. And I haven't had surgery yet, nor do I yet know if I need radiation. Also, you know, it could come back next year and I'll have to do this all over again...
And to top it all off, Republicans are trying to slam through a shitty ACA repeal bill that will allow insurance companies to reinstate lifetime caps and go back to denying coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.
Ahhh, what a time to get cancer.
If you're so inclined and live in a state with a republican senator who is going to vote for Graham-Cassidy... could you give 'em a call and bitch them out for me? I wouldn't normally ask but it's kind of important.
EDIT to clarify that I have insurance, I'm not on the hook for all $107k.

Just bought a new washing machine.
It's a sign that a new one is needed when smoke pours from the old one...

Wondering why the hell my bible-thumper coworker who sits right next to me constantly uses hideous-smelling bleach wipes to clean her desk but didn't vaccinate her baby against whooping cough...and the baby became ill with whooping cough. People are just dumb sometimes.
