Went to the ballet last night. They had me at Carmina Burana, and to see Balanchine's Serenade was icing on the cake. I'm actually starting to understand and appreciate what's going on up there on the stage.
Tonight I have to bake baklava for a band potluck tomorrow morning, and have a couple of things to practise on sax; otherwise, this evening is for kicking back and relaxing.

For me it's mostly about te costumes and just plain athleticism. But I'm learning.

What I'm noticing is that I'm drawn to the precision of the movements. I want to learn a bit more, so I signed up for an adult beginner class this summer.
I do have an unfortunate tendency to get so wrapped up in the music that my "gaze" turns inward and I'm not really following the dancers, but am getting better.

Between music, wardrobe, footwork and other actual dance elements, plot and everything else, it's a lot to learn about.

Finally went to the doc today to check my ear, I haven't been able to hear out of it for a month. Turns out it was...ear wax, ew. She cleaned it out and now I can hear again. Everything is acutely and startlingly loud now.
Getting ready now to sell my rental property, the listing should go active in about a week. I'm nervous AF. Let's get this baby sold!
Also still dating The Real Estate Agent and we're both smitten, oh boy...

Glad your ear is okay, Teresa. I went through the same thing once, but didn't go to the doctor. Just hydrogen peroxide and a baby syringe, cleaned it right out.
I just got back from the liquor store. I thought I'd get some beer in honor of Cinco de Mayo, but I didn't find anything that piqued my interest, so I got a six of ginger spiced hard cider instead. (I thought about getting some Corona, but I'm not a big fan. I could have tried something new, but I guess I'm just not as adventurous as I used to be.)
Got my new SSD. A Crucial MX500. I could install it tonight, but I don't think I will. Maybe tomorrow.

Funny thing about Corona, it was the cheapest beer one could buy, when in Mexico surfing. It got all trendy and now costs as much as other beers. Crazy. Good on them for mulcting the public in search of decent beer. There are plenty of decent beers from Mexico. I think Corona is way less good than the demand implies.

My father likes Modelo. I've never had a Mexican beer.
I like Bud and Heineken. And dry white.
