Okay, so, a bit over a month ago, I ordered the Electric Majik 7 Series Overdrive, a boutique pedal based on the Vox 7 series amplifiers, the amps the Beatles used from the Revolver to i]Magical Mystery Tour eras. It's relatively inexpensive, at about $99.





Unfortunately, it was kind of a gamble, since Lumpy isn't always the most reliable pedalmaker, so there was a distinct possibility that he wouldn't actually send it out. That, and, given that my main guitar is a Piezo-equipped cigar box guitar, I wasn't entirely sure that it would work properly. There was no information either way about how nicely the 7 series played with piezo pickups. And Lumpy didn't answer my email asking about it. There was only one way to make sure: ordering the damn thing. And for some reason, I decided to check the official website. And sure enough, when I checked it, I saw one interesting change: there was a new enclosure colour for the pedal (blue hammertone is now an option instead of just silver hammertone). The fact that he's updating the options implies he's still at it. And since it warned of a 3-4 week lead time, this long a wait was to be expected.

Also, on an interesting note for those of us who read my post on the 3R, three little holes poked into the sides of the sandwich really helped the excess juices flow out. Of course, it also causes some of the cheese, which melted under the Foreman's heat, to flow out with it.

Puppies are awesome if you are willing to put in the work involved.

We have three dogs, a cat, and two parrots.  They are expensive, messy, and I love every minute of having this menagerie.

I took my cat in for a few things on Wednesday, including tooth extraction and clearing some fur matting I couldn’t get to.

Do you know the self control it took me not to make a shaved pussy comment at the vet??
