Yeah, that's not happening around here any more.
Yes, our Muslim members are a little over active at the moment.
I’m kinda expecting a declaration of jihad soon...

Came home to find that Dad managed to order me a Blu-Ray of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. One key problem: It's in fucking Japanese!

At work.
Quite happy the temperature has dropped from 43' C down to a more manageable 23' C.

(This post was last modified: January 3, 2020 at 10:01 pm by Rev. Rye.)
Just decided to re-check the rest of TVTropes' "So Bad It's Horrible/Film" list to see if there's anything else I somehow missed in my original tabulation for last year and my regularly checking the history pages for each section, especially since I was blind-sided by seeing Food Fight and Omega Man in my local library's collection, despite not finding it. I figured out the passing of a new year would be the best time to do so.
Well, I'm not so sure it was. Two of the films (both obscured by alternate titles): The Nutcracker: The Untold Story (AKA The Nutcracker 3D) and Action Star Christmas (AKA Santa's Summer House) were Christmas films. Now, they set up a little holiday boutique and I'm not sure if it's still up. If it's still up when I go back there tomorrow, I'm checking out both of them, for the second time in the Project's history (third if you count the time I made an unofficial review of Baby Geniuses because it wasn't officially on the list, its sequel was, and it was fucking horrible enough that I felt I had to take it on). If not, I guess they're out of the running, and I'll probably get, maybe the Fog remake or Shut In. Odds are, by the time it comes back up next year, I'll probably have watched everything else on the list.
The third film, just FYI: The 1999 animated remake of The King and I.

Got em both. So, expect two Deep Hurting Project films this week: Action Star Christmas, a Christmas movie about nothing from the guy who made A Talking Cat?! and Nutcracker: The Untold Story, an adaptation of the Christmas classic wherein we have creepy CGI nutcrackers, chimps, and clowns (the last of which looks a lot like John Wayne Gacy); a Rat king who looks like David Bowie in Labyrinth and acts like a Nazi UP TO AND INCLUDING DEATH CAMPS WHERE LIVING TOYS ARE BURNED; and Nathan Lane as Albert Einstein.

For the record, the replacement came on Friday. And, yes, it is the proper edition, with the information in English.

Some of you may or may not have noticed, but I haven't been around much since before Christmas. Nothing too serious, just a severe allergic reaction to a misprescribed medication, seven days of haemodialysis, and drifting in and out of a coma.
Better now.
