On that note, one thing of note during Grandpa’s 90th birthday lunch, at one point, the subject somehow turned to Noah’s Ark. I remember that someone claims to have read an article which supposedly explained how the Noah kept the animals fed and watered. It took a lot of willpower to say something like “keeping them hydrated would be the easy part; literally every wooden ship to even come close to its length was a leaky mess, so, well, at least the animals would be kept hydrated.” However, because their branch of the family is easily the less dysfunctional half, and because I actually like Grandpa, I held my tongue, and hunkered down in my Vic Chesnutt album and my Ring Lardner book (I had finished lunch by this point). There’s a time to Destroy Biblical Literalism With Facts And Logic, and then there’s your Grandpa's birthday.
