I now officially have everything I need to finish my tenor Uke (Kea HeaLele). Why? Because I finally got that packet of sixpence from Dorset to put on the corners. Here’s what it looks like:

Just walked out into the garage to find a leak...the downstairs AC drain is leaking, again.

While investigating the situation the garage door randomly started opening...it could be a long night.

Damned if I know...in the nearly 16 years we have lived in this house the garage door has never spontaneously opened before...and I am not talking about a walk through door.  

More unnerving than the leak which my husband can fix after work tomorrow.

I went out to go to work about 10 years ago one morning, and discovered that the youngest son had left the door open all night. Fortunately nothing was stolen, but after that I disconnected the motor and it's been manual since then. Are you near an airport? Sometimes the communications equipment can cause erratic behavior with garage doors. There was a rash of it many years ago near Miramar Naval Air Station, but that was equipment on fighter jets.

I just went out in the garage again to find the door all the way up.  We are pretty far from DFW and this has never been an issue before. I'm sure there are corporate airports around here somewhere, but damn. I climbed up on a chair and unplugged it.  Husband has been getting up for work at 3 am so he's been in bed quite a while now so it's not him doing it.

Very weird.
