Wondering what it was that made Ziggy decide to bark and wake me up at 3 am. I was actually on my way toward a decent night's sleep...I suppose that's not allowed.
Damn dog. Good thing he is usually such a sweet boy.

Well shit. Nico's been limping and licking his left front foot for awhile. We (including the vet) thought that it was a nail bed infection and we had been treating it for about 2 months with no improvement. After this follow up with more x-rays and cultures it's been determined that he has septic arthritis in that toe and it has to be amputated. The upside, once he recovers he won't be in pain and it shouldn't effect his mobility. The procedure is scheduled for next week.
Side Note: The wife saw little humor in me singing Hey Nineteen last night.

Hope all goes well...I hate when one of the critters is sick or injured. I clipped a nail a bit too short a couple weeks ago on Quinn and haven't been quite right since. He's fine...I am traumatized.

It might help if you swear. Dad always swore when he fixed stuff. I was pretty certain it was a necessary part of the process.
