Just got the call, an acquaintance of mine (57yo/m) was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. Does not have any more medical details, more tests including a marrow biopsy needs to be performed. Emotionally he's all over the place.

I hope they found it early enough so that there's a good prognosis for treatment.

From the symptoms he described prior to diagnosis my guess is intermediate, not early. The primary one was he ignored a lump on his neck for ~ 6 months.

Well, that stinks! These days, when strange lumps appear, it is a cause for concern. I have a sore lump in the middle of my palm. If I hit it on something, I have no idea what. It is at least receding. I guess I bruised it somehow.

Just got back from donating plasma. It's been a long day. Thankfully there's an hour left in the Dodgers / Giants game. I need this.

 That sounds terrific. (you add strips of tortilla?) Mexican food isn't much of a thing in Oz. I sometimes make chilli con carne and do it wrong. I cook it with kidney beans.  (not canned) Chicken is the cheapest meat here.  I have a lot of breast fillets , at around $9 a kg. ($US 6.64, about $US3 a pound)

Right now it's 0717 Thursday. I've had my coffee and emailed my sis. We do this every day so we each know the other is still alive.

Yesterday at Men's Group we had a speaker. A retired sports broadcaster.   I was bored rigid. I played many sports at school, but sucked at  all . Have never been able to enjoy sports as spectator. That has ben difficult in Australia where sports are just about the National Religion.  As a nation, we're no longer big church goers.
