Last time I overcooked the turkey. So I'm going to practice on the chicken. I already have meat thermometer. I will rub it with mince chilli.
I was at Bunnings the other day and bought a 20 pack of aluminium baking pan things in the barbie section down the back for $9.90. Great value.
Yeah, I'll say. I paid $5 for two at Coles today. Although, don't know how long it would take me to use 20!

I don't cook but Pam uses them for everything in the oven. Almost daily.

Kind of winging it this morning. I pulled a couple of pork shoulder steaks that were vacuum-sealed in Mesquite marinade from the freezer last night. I pulled them from the fridge this morning and they were still basically frozen. So I said screw it and threw them in the slow cooker with some chicken broth and a chopped-up onion and set it on low for 8 hours. We'll see what results.

"Yes! I'm finally doing the thing! I'm on task!" he declares in a post, which he interrupted himself doing the thing in order to sign on and post because excited about finally doing the thing.
Thus starting another small cycle of reloading webpages, reading meager updates, and scrolling through Pinterest because it's time to celebrate finally doing the thing barely starting the thing.

Well, I did the chicken in an oven bag and used a disposable aluminium pan. The pan kinda bent when I took it out of the oven. I'll be using my battered old pan for the turkey.
Chicken turned out perfectly. It was a shade under 3kg, so there's a bit left over. I'll freeze most of it.

Put the aluminum pan on a cookie sheet.

Went to Cub Foods and Target. I needed coffee and vitamins. Except I learned I had enough coffee for a week before I left. And they didn't have the vitamins that I needed. Oh well. I picked up a port wine cheese log and crackers for later. And the slow cooker just beeped, which means that my pork shoulder steaks are ready to eat. It smells delicious!

Oh, you mean a scone tray.
Not sure I have one big enough, but I'll have a look.

Gonna get some Christmas cards ready to mail.
My list used to be about 50 a year...it's down to about a dozen now.
I also used to handwrite the letters I included in some of them...Word to the rescue since my handwriting has become shite. I even used to address them with calligraphy.

Fixing computer crap. I bought several Roku channels for a buck for two months over the holiday. So am I watching them? No, I'm watching an old war movie on SD.
