What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Listening to music relaxingly—in a flow state—while witnessing unrelated thoughts—day dreaming in a flow state—pensively.

Currently feeling good. I woke up this morning to find that someone I follow on Instagram, who has a million followers, sent me a private message.

I guess that makes me one in a million today.

Taking a trip to Phoenix at the end of the month and with the airline hit and miss during covid I'm going finally cave and get a cell phone. Trying to figure out what prepaid phone and the talk/text/data options I'll need.

Any suggestions? Understand that I'll only use the phone when traveling, approx once every 4 months.

It's that time of year again. Anniversabirthentines. Married for 14 years. She's 46. Love is real.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Retro is cool, right?

Get one of those massive brick phones from the 80s.

On a personal level, don't get anything from Apple.

I can top that.

In conversation with somebody who is the son of somebody knighted by the queen of England. And have been in conversation with them for a few years now. They've called me their friend. Welcomed into the royal circle.

Aristocracy FTW.

Democracy > Aristocracy. But I'm not going to pretend to not enjoy the special treatment.

Hah! Royalty. Ronald Reagan went and knelt before the queen of England for a knighthood. Not that it would ever happen, but I would turn down a knighthood based simply on the fact that I would be required to kneel.

I can't top that but after my reply, this person sent me a friend request on Instagram from their personal page. They are only following 53 people and I'm one of them. It feels like a wild 12 point buck walked up to me and gave me a high five.

Right now I'm in bed on a frosty Saturday morning. It feels like -4 F outside (-20 C). The house is quiet and all is good in my world.
