I should be halfway home (to the midwest) but for the third year in a row, I have had to cancel the trip. I'm running out of years to do it. I haz a sad.

Still bewildered by the "Corey Feldman Music Video" mystery, I decided to do a little experiment. I have no idea who decided to splice in that image of a woman tied to a pool table into that video, but I wonder if, because they were distracted by the sheer cringe of Corey Feldman trying and failing to be Michael Jackson, the image didn't even register to them. Given that the YouTube video's been up for nine years with well over a thousand comments (mostly focusing on Corey himself) and before Nexpo released his new video, only a handful even mentioned the cutaway, I think I have an inkling.




My procedure: I sent the video to my Dad and my therapist. I gave them no indication of what I was expecting them to look for. When they respond, I ask them "what about the woman on the pool table?"

Results: So far, my Dad appeared to notice it, but only after I mentioned it. Then again, with Dad the entire correspondence was through text. So far, I know that my therapist has seen the text, but hasn't responded to it, but she may be saving that for Monday.

Limitations: So far, due to my having a small social circle, the sample pool is limited to two people, one of whom knows I'm into some strange shit and has been living with me all my life, and the other of whom knows I'm into some strange shit and knows that I'm interested in psychology to the point where she's seen me casually name-dropping names like Milgram, Harlow, and Calhoun.
