Watching it snow. But it's not supposed to be snowing, just cold and windy. Yeah, I never believe the damn forecast anymore.

It's -6° F out with 15 mph winds. The substitute ILS worker called asking if I could use him today due to a cancellation. If I were him I'd have just stayed home, but to each his own.

Watching the news while waiting for a preboot CHKDSK of a 4TB SSD to complete. The ETA is 8 minutes, but I'm estimating more like an hour or so. Drinking coffee peanut butter porter beer. The coffee and peanut butter is okay, the porter, not so much. It's got a minimal head, thin watery legs, and is pretty one dimensional.

Trying to keep my birds from freezing where they roost. -5 last night, -27 with windchill. Won't get out of the negatives until tomorrow afternoon, when it hits a sweltering 7f. We're in the SE US...?

Our puppy, otoh, is fucking loving it.

Vacuuming and I thought the puppy was barking...it was the damn African Grey. Took her a week to mimic the puppy perfectly.
